EVERYONE IS ALL OVER THIS. But it should be noted Tech Crunch blogger Mike Arrington was right and he scored the first scoop before any of the rest of the ‘traditional’ media.
CrunchNotes » I’ve Had A Long Weekend
“… I wanted to go because the organizers said I’d be welcome, and that the people who attend (traditional journalists) really were trying to understand this whole blogging phenomenon. So I went. And what a mistake it was. I thought this was going to be an attempt to bridge the gap between blogging and big media. All I saw was a fear and an unassailable resistance to change.” I already told him this after the event but I dug most of what he was saying. Although he kind of shot himself in the foot with the whole reporters and their sources thing (which is actually pretty accurate from what I’ve seen), I think most of his points were very valid, yet fell on deaf ears in ivory towers. Thanks for coming, Mike.
