We've all used halogen "tripod trouble lights" for quick-n-dirty remote lighting. Now I see Ace Hardware (among others) selling similar work-lights using new compact fluorescent tubes. They can come kinda close to daylight and are pretty bright.

Does anyone know a way to ditch the stand and adapt one of these for ceiling/pipe/truss use? Too many tripods here are going to cause an accident. thx.
